Wine Critic Reviews:

Vibrant acidity drives the lemon cake, mineral and chalk flavors in this sleek white. Bony in style, but remains persistent on the stony finish. Best from 2019 through 2025. 199 cases made, 99 cases imported.

(made from the warmest section of Vaillons, according to Piuze): Aromas of fresh mirabelle, wild herbs and minerals suggest a concentrated wine. Fine-grained, brisk and intense, offering mineral-driven flavors of green papaya and sea salt. In an early-picked style, finishing penetrating and persistent. This should make a lovely drink.

The 2016 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons Les Minots is drinking very well, offering up an expressive bouquet of lime cordial, spring flowers, white peach and ripe citrus. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and expansive, with an open-knit profile but nice depth at the core. It's a charming, immediate vintage of this bottling that I suspect is best enjoyed in its youth.

Country France: Words fail us when trying to adequately portray France's place in the world of wine. It's downright impossible to imagine what wine would feel and taste like had it not been for France's many, many viticultural pioneers. Fine wine is the blood of France's vigorously beating heart, and it finds itself in many aspects of French culture. With a viticultural history that dates all the way back to the 6th century BC, France now enjoys its position as the most famous and reputable wine region on the planet. If you have a burning passion for masterfully crafted, mouth-watering, mind-expanding wines, then regular visits to France are probably already in your schedule, and for a good reason.
Producer P.Piuze: In order to produce great wine, the main ingredient you want is great terroir; something along those lines was stated by Patrick Piuze himself, and he is stuck to his principles since he rose to prominence. We would add another key ingredient to that list - talent. The man has quickly developed a level of mastery most winemakers would be downright jealous of, and his methods continue to impress even the harshest critics on the planet. With a disposition like that, it's no surprise that Piuze Patrick wines are in high demand, and you would be doing yourself a disservice by missing out on them. If you wish to enrich the lives of your friends and family, offer them a glass of fine Piuze Patrick wine.
