1995 roc de cambes Bordeaux Red

The 1995 offers up a tell-tale Merlot nose of smoky, roasted coffee, sweet chocolate, mocha, and berry scents. Amazingly deep and rich, this is among the finest wines I have ever tasted from the Cotes de Bourg. There is low acidity, good fat, glycerin, and extract, and a layered, chunky, fleshy finish. It should drink well for 7-8 years.Robert Parker | 90 RP

2018 roc de cambes Bordeaux Red

Beautiful cassis and blackcurrant notes, as well as classy oak and tobacco, emerge from the 2018 Roc De Cambes. It’s beautifully layered, textured, and deep on the palate, with fabulous tannin quality and length. Coming from the Cotes de Bourg, this brilliant wine will shine for two decades.Jeb Dunnuck | 93-95 JDThe 2018 Roc de Cambes is a potent, tannic wine that is going to need time to come together. Backward and brooding, the 2018 packs a serious punch. Grilled herbs, smoke, leather, tobacco and graphite all run through this virile Côtes De Bourg from François Mitjavile. The 2018 finished its sugars late, so its current state is not all that surprising. Even so, the 2018 appears to have quite a bit of potential. The blend is 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Malbec.Vinous Media | 90-93 VM
