Sokolin 2008 Screaming Eagle Tasting Notes:
This magical elixir is one of the best liquid wonders Napa Valley has to offer. Its masculine, powerful nose comes with beautiful viola, raspberry and plum aromatics, typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. Let you taste buds dive into the heavenly taste of red cherries and delicious blueberries, with creamy notes and amazing texture that will feel like velvet on your palate and lips. Absolutely sensual feeling, worthy of being called Californian, and at the same time graceful and stunning.

the mouthfeel was so soft, like drinking pure velvet. We've had a bottle of the 2008 Screaming Eagle for quite some time, but we finally decided to open it when we celebrate our 15th anniversary. It was very special for us and we definitely couldn't have chosen a more exceptional wine to make new memories on this date.
We had two glasses each and we felt really sorry we didn't have more of this celestial wine! I really can't remember I had ever tasted something so smooth, the mouthfeel was so soft, like drinking pure velvet. I think this must be one of the finest Californian wines ever. Everything about it is perfectly balanced, from the beautiful aromas you can sense the moment you uncork the bottle, to the refreshing taste, so elegant and inspiring. I really hope we can get another bottle for some other important occasion.
combination of freshness and depth, both strong and delicate at the same timeYou can't deny the 2008 Screaming Eagle is a truly remarkable wine. It's got a unique combination of freshness and depth, both strong and delicate at the same time, you can really feel it develop in your mouth. The color is simply stunning, and the aromas, wow… If you're a fan of berries, this is a wine for you - drink it now or wait for a couple of years, you won't regret it.
However, I prefer a bit more acidity in wines, and this one's a bit too chewy when it comes to tannins, it almost felt like eating jam. Maybe it was the wrong timing, but in matters of taste, there can be no disputes, right? I will make sure to taste it again sometime, I still claim this wine is top-notch.
