Wine Critic Reviews:

Here too there is a plethora of Chablis character on the cool, pure and airy aromas that are comprised of smoky white orchard fruit and various citrus scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to remark upon. The racy, intense and intensely mineral-driven medium weight flavors possess a lovely mouth feel before culminating in a textured, balanced and saline finish that is both dry and tightly wound.

(Chablis “Forêt”- Domaine Raveneau) `The 2014 Forêt from Domaine Raveneau is a beautiful wine in the making, with the superb elegance of the vintage very much in evidence on both the nose and palate. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a refined blend of green apple, lemon, beeswax, chalky soil tones, dried flowers and the first signs of the anise to come with a bit of bottle age. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a lovely core, bright acids and lovely focus and grip on the racy and seamless finish. Lovely juice. (Drink between 2018-2035)

Very reticent but pure aromas of lemon and quinine. Chiseled and classic if youthfully austere and extremely backward today, offering hints of menthol, citrus peel, minerals and white pepper. Most impressive right now on the long, fine-grained finish. Like the village wine, this is even better--and likely to develop more slowly--than my note last year suggested.
