Wine Critic Reviews:

Attractive grapefruit and white peaches with a gentle reductive edge. The palate has a very intense, concentrated core of lemons and tart peaches with creamed honey. A pithy, juicy texture. Excellent quality here. Drink or hold.

This vineyard, on the left, cooler bank of the River Serein, has produced a crisp, intensely fruity wine, with something of the steely character that marks out many Chablis. Along with that, a riper style brings out peach and pear flavors. Drink the wine soon for the fruit, although it will be even better from 2021.

Wine Enthusiast | 93 WE
Enough wood to warrant mentioning is present on the ripe white orchard fruit aromas that also exhibit hints of the exotic and tidal pool. The rich, caressing and seductively textured mid-palate of the medium weight flavors contrasts considerably with the very dry, ultra-crisp and slightly clipped finish comes up a bit short today though my sense is that this will harmonize once it passes a few years in bottle.

...It has a refined, floral bouquet with scents of nectarine and apricot blossom. I appreciate the purity of this wine. The palate is crisp and lightly spiced on the entry. There is good weight in the mouth with a touch of bitterness on the finish. I appreciate the "attack" of this Vaillons, a wine that is keen to make an impression.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate | 90-92 RP
Medium yellow. Ripe peach aroma with a honeyed nuance. Concentrated, inviting yellow stone fruit and soft citrus flavors are nicely framed by harmonious acidity. Perhaps a touch exotic but there's no shortage of tension on the finish.

Vinous Media | 90 VM
A bit awkward in the beginning, featuring apple, green plum and lemon notes that clash with the razor-sharp acidity. Comes together on the finish, where the fruit and structure dovetail. Should be better in a year. Drink now through 2024. 2,500 cases made, 160 cases imported.
