Wine Critic Reviews:

More forward than many producers' Beaumonts (or Beaux Monts as most domaines label it), this enticingly aromatic premier cru comes from two parcels on the slope above the village of Vosne, planted in the 1940s and 1990s. Fragrant and refined, it has lots of sumptuous raspberry fruit, chalky minerality and sculpted tannins. Drinking Window 2022 - 2030

There is just enough wood lurking in the background of the brooding yet very fresh black cherry, plum and Asian-style tea-inflected aromas to mention. The velvety, delicious and beautifully detailed medium-bodied flavors possess a polished mouthfeel, all wrapped in a stony finish where a touch of youthful austerity arises. Like several wines in the range, this beautiful effort is an exercise in finesse and punch.

(Vosne-Romanée “Beaumonts”- Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat) The 2017 Vosne-Romanée “Beaumonts” from Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat was showing beautifully at the time of my visit and is going to be an exceptional wine. The bouquet is pure and very beautiful in its blend of black raspberries, sweet blackberries, woodsmoke, espresso, dark soil tones, pigeon and cedary wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and very well-balanced, with fine focus and grip, lovely mineral drive and a long, refined and ripely tannic finish. Just a beautiful bottle in the making. (Drink between 2027-2065)

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaumonts surpasses its showing from barrel, unwinding in the glass with aromas of blackberries, orange rind, peonies, potpourri and spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a fleshy core of fruit, refined tannins and an appealing sense of completeness.

Robert Parker Wine Advocate | 93 RP
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaumonts 1er Cru has a succinct, quite understated bouquet of red cherry and wild strawberry that opens up and welcomes you in after a minute's aeration. There is fine transparency here. The palate is very sappy with a potent marine influence (hints of brine and kelp), fresh and quite deep toward the persistent, slightly peppery finish. Excellent, though I am charmed more by the Malconsorts at this prenatal stage.

Country France: Words fail us when trying to adequately portray France's place in the world of wine. It's downright impossible to imagine what wine would feel and taste like had it not been for France's many, many viticultural pioneers. Fine wine is the blood of France's vigorously beating heart, and it finds itself in many aspects of French culture. With a viticultural history that dates all the way back to the 6th century BC, France now enjoys its position as the most famous and reputable wine region on the planet. If you have a burning passion for masterfully crafted, mouth-watering, mind-expanding wines, then regular visits to France are probably already in your schedule, and for a good reason.
Producer H.Noellat: Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat truly hit its stride somewhere around 1965, and their success has been meteoric ever since. They've shown versatility in the types of wine they produce, deep respect and love of their terroir, and an undying passion for the craft - and the results are stunning. Drinking their wines is almost a surreal experience, and it can be hard to quantify with words just how precise and elegant their wines are. These are bottles that are best consumed very slowly, so you have time to take in all the nuances and subtleties. With an expressive and delicate nose, a detailed and compelling structure and intense, pristine flavors on display, your heart may need some time to recover from the excitement. The beautiful pomegranate creates a creamy sensation that thoroughly coats and massages the inside of your mouth.

Region Burgundy: Situated just west of the beautiful river Saone, the hills and valleys of Burgundy stand as they have stood since medieval times, and you can almost hear the cheerful chatter of vineyard workers from miles away. Indeed, France's identity in the world of wine would be incomplete without the inclusion of Burgundy and its many viticultural achievements. Every little sub-region of the area boasts a unique soil composition, which, when combined with the area's climate conditions, creates an incredibly diverse and appealing selection of fine wines. Every new bottle is an adventure of its own, and a snapshot of its birthplace. You could spend years sampling great Burgundian wines, and you would still have a lot to learn, which is what makes the region so compelling for veterans and novice wine lovers alike. No matter what your taste in wines may be, there is a winery in Burgundy that could mesmerize your mind and make your senses scream with joy. And what better way to spend a comfy summer afternoon with your friends and family than with a classy bottle from some of the region's most reputable wineries? From the noble slopes of Cote d'Or to the flatlands near various settlements, let us help you on your journey as we explore Burgundy's most delicious and renowned wines.
Type of Wine Burgundy Red: If you have a craving for some beautiful, mind-expanding Pinot Noir, few regions can match the talent and consistency of Burgundy. The grape almost seems like it evolved for this very region, and its essence will stimulate your senses and arouse your imagination. Drink deep and experience almost spiritual enlightenment.

Varietal Pinot Noir: Pinot Noir is possibly the most versatile red grape when it comes to the ways it's been used over the years. From red wines to sparkling wines and beyond, there aren't many places where you can avoid hearing about it, and for a good reason. It's often easy to spot a bottle of Pinot Noir simply by the pale, translucent color, which transitions into a shade reminiscent of old-timey brickwork, adding a lovely dash of country charm to an already awe-inspiring drink.
