Wine Critic Reviews for 2018 Domaine Servin Chablis 1er Cru Mont De Milieu

The 2018 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru is a regal, classy wine that brings together all the best qualities of the vintage. Soft, open-knit and inviting, the 2018 is a real pleasure to taste. This is an especially seamless, racy Chablis that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Apricot, white flowers, mint and citrus confit shape the finish. This is a bit tight today, but very promising.

(Domaine Servin Chablis "Mont de Milieu" 1er Cru White) Here the pretty and well-layered nose is more obviously exotic and reveals plenty of floral influence on the petrol, lychee nut and tidal pool scents. There is excellent volume and evident power to the medium weight plus flavors that are dense, serious and stony while the clean and dry finish is supported by citrus-infused acidity. This will need to develop more depth but the Servin Mont de Milieu almost always ages very well. (Drink starting 2024).
