Batailley Wines

Chateau Batailley’s reds are worthy of kings, and their prices are ludicrously low for that level of quality. If you’re a patient wine lover and you enjoy sampling mature, well-developed wines, then a touch of Batailley could be just what you were looking for. Their vineyards are planted to 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot, with the rest being split between Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The Merlot adds some lovely fleshiness to the texture – an excellent touch when combined with the incredibly ripe fruit, crème de cassis, and spicy red berries. A lovely Pauillac for when you want to impress a group of friends without breaking the bank, this wine will arouse your intellect within moments. Give it a few years, and your Batailley will develop into a real powerhouse.
