Fall White WInes
The weather is changing and fall is now upon us. We want our family, friends and customers to remember that fall isn’t just for red wines, and the season doesn’t have to define the wines you buy, pour and enjoy! As the weather transitions to cooler temperatures and the days get shorter, we’re not just sipping on red wines in front of the fireplace, but we’re also enjoying white wines too. We believe it’s less about the current season and more about what we’re cooking for dinner. You can still enjoy those fresh, crisp white Burgundies and California Chardonnays with your shellfish, fish and even lighter chicken dishes as they always pair perfectly together. Also, fall is a great time to enjoy white wines from the Rhone in France (the Rhone region is very well known for their Chateauneuf du Papes and Hermitages, but their whites are most often overlooked and underrated) – they’re much more full-bodied, voluptuous and have a weightier mouthfeel than your typical fresh and lively Chablis or white Burgundy, making white Rhones a great choice to pair with bold and heavy fall and winter dishes.
