Lightly chewy at the end. 95% sangiovese and 5% merlot. What makes this a winner, especially with food, is that the crystalline, racy fruit far outshadows the oak. Fine tannins frame the finish without slowing its momentum, and the 2021 tapers off long and staining with a steely minerality that lingers.
