A cool vintage in Washington State, the 2002 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard was harvested on October 10 and saw roughly 25% new French barriques during its élevage. Full-bodied, savory, layered and seamless, it has lots of iodine, olive brine, dried herbs and sweet black raspberry fruit to go with good overall freshness, plenty of texture and great finish.
