Wine Critic Reviews:

Sena was originally a joint project of Eduardo Chadwick, owner of Errazuriz, and the Robert Mondavi empire...The fruit is sourced from Sena's biodynamically farmed vineyard with the 2007 Sena made up of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Carmenere, 12% Merlot, with the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It puts forth an enthralling bouquet of sandalwood, underbrush, exotic spices, incense, floral notes, blueberry, and blackcurrant that borders on kinky. Already remarkably complex on the palate, with layered flavors, a plush palate feel, and precision balance, this beautifully rendered offering will evolve for another 6-8 years... Country Chile: As the world's seventh-largest wine producer, Chile has a lot to offer to wine adventurers such as yourself. More than twenty grape varietals commonly see use, and the environment and climate conditions of the country allow for flexible, experimental methods that make the wines that much more compelling. Interestingly enough, France's viticultural influence on Chile is greater than Spain's. Cabernet Sauvignon has recently become the most planted varietal in the region, although the unique Chilean terroir is still sensed in full force. If you're in the mood for something different, the mad scientists behind Chile's most reputable wineries are ready to impress.

Type of Wine Chile Red: Whether you prefer the potency of an elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, the seductive appeal of Syrah, or the compelling puzzle of a top-notch Pinot Noir, Chile has more to offer than you can even imagine. Their wines are more than eloquent when it comes to terroir expression, and they paint these varietals in a heavenly light.
Varietal Proprietary Blend: There's a level of mystery and intrigue when it comes to drinking a wine for which you're not fully informed about, and if that sounds like a thrilling idea to you, then you're probably already interested in proprietary blends. While the concept doesn't have a legal definition, it is used to describe blends whose components aren't disclosed by the producer. In many cases, the wine tends to be a Bordeaux-inspired blend, but this isn't always the case.
