Barbera Wines

Italy has been one of the most reputable viticultural regions for a long, long time, and grape varietals like Barbera demonstrate why. Barbera has been in the three most frequently planted varietals in Italy and has seen more than its fair share of blend compositions. When allowed to produce a high yield, a lot of the richness and delicate flavor are lost, in favor of excessive acidity. However, with proper nurturing and pruning, a low-yield batch of Barbera grapes can produce what we can only describe as magic.

For those of you who are considering giving Barbera wines a shot, we promise – your tastebuds will be forever grateful. The toasted oak barrel flavor undercuts the lush, explosive raspberries, cherries and blueberries, with notes of blackberries and black cherries trying to steal the show depending on how young the wine is and which blend you opt for specifically. These wines create a sensation that is not too dissimilar to biting into a juicy, ripe watermelon and having your mouth almost massaged by the visceral tide of liquid.

The vintage selection Barbera wines offer you is also a highly appealing aspect. If you wish to seek out slightly older bottles, we can wholeheartedly recommend Barbera wines. If you have a single tastebud capable of appreciating fine wines, it’s impossible to regret getting one of these.
