Good bright medium red. Explosive, complex aromas of raspberry, cherry, truffle and earth. Sweet and concentrated, with deep, fairly youthful red fruit and mineral flavors. Quite sappy and fresh for a 17-year-old wine, though not quite as nuanced in the mouth as on the nose. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and very good vinosity.
