700 YEARS OF WINE HISTORY. It started with a Florentine family and now thirty generations later the Frescobaldis continue their unparalleled dedication to the production of great Tuscan wines. With 5,000 hectares of estate properties, over 1,000 hectares of estate vineyards and nine estates in Tuscany the Frescobaldis have managed the family wine business, harmoniously blending tradition, experience, and innovation.

Sounds amazing right? That is exactly what we were thinking when we were offered the 2007 Tenuta di Castiglioni by the legendary producer. Awarded 93 points by Wine Spectator, "it has intense aromas of currant, raisin and licorice, with hints of toasty oak. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a powerful currant, blackberry and mineral aftertaste..." Wine Spectator.

If you are looking for an inexpensive wine that is drinking great now and tastes like one of those wines served at a black-tie dinner (where you are actually invited), well, look no further because we've just located one of the best, least expensive wines we've ever tried! Here at Sokolin, we work hard to take the guesswork out of our customers' buying experience. We do this by sampling thousands of wines to find only the very best wines and the best deals.

Priced just under $15/btl, it actually tastes like it's a $50+/btl. We can honestly say that because we put it to the test. Before the price was revealed to a few of our wine drinking friends, it was agreed that they would pay between $50-55 for this bottle and be totally satisfied! Needless to say when they found out this wine was priced at under $15/btl, they were shocked! And you will be too! This wine was silky smooth, so soft and extremely well balanced.

Our recommendation: It is a perfect buying selection for just about any reason?whether you are looking for several bottles/cases of inexpensive wine for your upcoming holiday party, looking for a gift for a wine lover you know, or you are in search of a new house wine that your guests will love, you just can't go wrong with this selection. It is in stock and ready to ship for the holidays, but don't wait too long because with a price tag of under $15/btl, there just might not be any left.
