    Calera was founded by the late Josh Jensen who set out to produce California wines that would rival the best French Burgundies. He spent time working at some of the top domaines in Burgundy (Domaine de la Romanee Conti and Domaine Dujac) and was on a mission to find the perfect limestone soil in California to plant Pinot Noir. Jensen followed Burgundy’s lead that limestone-rich soils are a necessity for fine Pinot Noir, and in 1974, he sourced an amazing high altitude, cool-climate property near Mt.     Arnot-Roberts was founded by childhood friends, Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts, who grew up in Napa Valley. After finishing college, they decided to pursue their passion by working in winemaking at several renowned wineries in California. They actually began with one barrel of wine made in their basement.

    Founded in 2001, Arnot-Roberts continues to not just bottle incredible wines, but create new ones! Their inaugural release of 2021 Arnot-Roberts Red Wine is delicious, scoring 95+ points from Antonio Galloni of Vinous Media.
