A New Arrival, 97 Point Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc - Very Limited

The Rhone region is very well known for its Chateauneuf du Papes and Hermitages, but its whites are most often overlooked and under-rated. We thoroughly enjoy turning the spotlight to this region’s amazing white wines.

"I love white Rhones! Where else can you get full bodied, rich and food friendly whites at low prices? Many of the wines are priced at a fraction of what you’d pay in Burgundy or even California!" - Dave Sokolin

We have an exciting new arrival, Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc to share with you from one of our absolute favorite Southern Rhone producers, Isabel Ferrando. She left a successful banking career to pursue winemaking and bought Domaine Saint Prefert in 2002 and was new to the region. Wine critic Jeb Dunnuck said, “Isabel Ferrando has taken her Saint Prefert estate to France’s highest level, and she’s unquestionably making some of the most profound wines on earth today, including both reds and whites.” Isabel Ferrando’s white wines are known for their ability to age well, and her white wines are highly regarded.

2023 Isabel Ferrando Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc just arrived and is extremely limited, with only 250 cases produced. Jeb Dunnuck called this wine “flat-out great” and said “If you get a chance, don’t miss this!” It’s a classic, Southern Rhone white with an elegant, complex and layered mouthfeel paired with gorgeous aromatics and a great finish.

Scoring 97 points, 2023 Isabel Ferrando Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a blend of 70% Clairette and 30% Roussanne and is “one of the finest classic white wines of the appellation.” - Robert Parker Wine Advocate

Priced at $99.95, this Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc checks all the boxes and is drinking well now - 2034.

“This is a very powerful white Chateauneuf…” - Decanter
