Back by popular demand, we invite you to view Part II of the Wine Challenge Video Series with our own Dave Sokolin and leading wine critic, James Suckling. James recently visited our premises and challenged Dave to show him three red wines priced under $30 that we thought were deserving of 90 points or more. Dave actually threw James a curveball in Part II of the wine series. He showed James a wine that is priced at $19.95! Watch the video to view the wines.

Here at Sokolin, we pride ourselves not only on our vast inventory of fine back-vintage wines from top global regions, but also on our selection of wines that are inexpensive but still super-high quality. So we welcomed James' challenge.

Here's the rundown of the second challenge:

2010 Bernard Moreau Bourgogne Rouge - 91 points JS

"You can taste the Burgundy Terroir in this lovely Bourgogne Rouge. King of Pinot in my mind." - Dave Sokolin

What James said: "A fruity and fine wine with bright fruit and a lot of subtle strawberry character that follows through to a medium body with fine tannins and a bright citrusy acidity." - James Suckling

2003 Pertimali Brunello di Montalcino - 92 points JS

"A deal like none other, a back vintage Brunello that I adore, and priced like a Chianti!" - Dave Sokolin

What James said: "It's spicy and rich with chocolate and spices with hints of coffee and raisins. It turns full and spicy on the palate with lots of fruit, figs, and prunes on the aftertaste. Long finish." - James Suckling

2009 Waterstone - 93 points JS

"It tastes like a California Cult wine, and there is some cult wine in the blend. Only this one is $19.95, and not $700/bottle!" - Dave Sokolin

What James said: "This is amazing value in California Cab. It's hard to believe." - James Suckling
