Winter is in full swing, and we have THE wine recommendation for you during these cold winter months – a great bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape! Chateauneuf du Pape is the most well-known appellation in the Southern Rhone, and while the region produces both red and white wines, it is more known and famous for its red wines. The cold winter months are the perfect time to enjoy Chateauneuf du Papes - they are full-bodied, rich, intense and pair perfectly with hearty winter comfort foods, including game dishes and your favorite red meat meals. Chateauneuf du Pape also pairs well with spicy dishes.

We’re sharing one of our favorite producers who you may or may not be familiar with, Janasse. “Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape is next level, yet so few people have tried it. It flies under-the-radar as one of the greatest producers in the Southern Rhone, yet every collector who has tasted it once became a fan instantaneously. It’s as if they have a winemaking secret that only they possess.” - Dave Sokolin

Both Robert Parker and Vinous Media agree, stating:

“I have long been a huge fan of the wines of the Sabon family of Domaine de la Janasse. Just about everything they make, from their Vin de Pays to their Cotes du Rhônes to their flagship Chateauneuf du Pape wines, are remarkable.”- Robert Parker

"Combining power, intensity, and sensuality, the wines of La Janasse rank among the very best of Chateauneuf-du-Pape." - Vinous Media

We have a small collection of Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape available from a few of the most recent vintages. These are all high scoring wines that are sure to impress and be adored wherever they are served!

Cheers!
