Vacheron: One of Sancerre’s Elite Houses

If you love Sancerre, we have a terrific, new arrival for you – 2021 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre. Domaine Vacheron is always in the very upper echelon of Sancerre producers and consistently produces a great set of wines year after year. If you are unfamiliar with Vacheron, it is one of Sancerre’s elite houses with some of the most coveted parcels in the appellation. It was completely converted to biodynamic farming (certified Biodvin in 2005), and run by two young cousins that take a Burgundian approach to wine making.

Most of the properties are on hard “silex” flint soils with a few smaller holdings on softer limestone and clay, and their “village” Sancerre draws from both to create a subtle yet mineral infused and completely satisfying wine.

“The Sancerre, coming from vines planted on the fault line between silex and caillottes (hard shards of limestone), is absolutely fabulous and always a Best Buy.” - Robert Parker Wine Advocate

The 2021 vintage has citrus aromas that blend with a perfume of jasmine and honeysuckle with notions of slate and bluestone. It’s creamy yet vibrant with flavors of lemon and limeade, rainbow sherbet, honey and a hint of crushed shells. Screams summer in a glass!

2021 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre (priced at $46.99) will take your summer to the next level, whether you enjoy it on the beach or your patio. This wine, regardless of score or vintage, always over-delivers.

Very limited quantities are remaining!

Cheers!
