    Arnot-Roberts was founded by childhood friends, Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts, who grew up in Napa Valley. After finishing college, they decided to pursue their passion by working in winemaking at several renowned wineries in California. They actually began with one barrel of wine made in their basement.

    Founded in 2001, Arnot-Roberts continues to not just bottle incredible wines, but create new ones!     Bordeaux has been on a hot streak recently with a bumper crop of excellent vintages including 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Our Buying Team recently arrived back from Bordeaux after tasting the 2022 Bordeaux vintage from barrel, and it looks like the Bordelais have another winner on their hands. Is 2022 “The Vintage of the Century?” Probably not, but with the wine still evolving in barrels, it’s really too early to tell.

    The growing season in 2022 was mostly dry and warm and while many critics were quick to compare it to 2003, there are far more differences than similarities between the two vintages. 2003 was an extremely warm and dry year marked by scorching hot days, very warm nights and little-to-no rain for nearly the entire growing season. In 2022, the growing season started off with some early rain which allowed the clay and limestone soils to absorb and hold water like a sponge.
